There are three "one-hour" exams. (Actually, they last
just for the 50-minute lecture period.) Typically, there are four
or five major questions, each can have subparts. One question is
usually (arguably) "easy"; the remaining questions
might be similar to homework problems or at least to the
character of homework problems as represented by questions at the
end of chapters.
Exams are carefully timed. They end as scheduled. There is a
guaranteed penalty for handing exams in after time has
expired!
There are no make-up exams. Should one exam be
missed, the final exam will be counted extra.
The exam schedule is as follows (and is also on
"Blackboard" under "Tools/Calendar").
