contribution data, and more. Documents are available in full-text; the years
of coverage vary by document type. In addition, microfiche copies of documents
are available in Hunt Reference from 1977 to the present.

This is an indispensable subject and author guide to literature on current
international economic and social conditions. It covers articles, books, conference
proceedings, government documents, book chapters, and statistical directories
about public affairs. The print version must be used for years prior to 1972;
only the online database is available after 1994.

- Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
The CBPP conducts research on a wide range of government policies and programs,
with an emphasis upon those affecting low- and moderate-income people. Coverage
includes both federal and state governments.
- The National Bureau of Economic Research
Founded in 1920, the NBER is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan research organization
dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of how the economy works. Research
is conducted by more than 500 university professors around the country.

(Heritage Foundation)
A searchable database of the conservative movement, the site presents information
on over 300 public policy organizations in the U.S. Both national and state
organizations are included with links to most organizations.
- PolicySite
PolicySite is a non-partisan project to promote greater understanding of significant
U.S. public policy issues and a more informed public debate. It does not advocate
positions but attempts to facilitate access to a balanced and representative
sample of perspectives on major areas of public policy. Issues are framed
by identifying the arguments of opposing sides and then linking users to the
organizations and institutions that are part of the debate. Note: This site has not been updated since May 2005.

This is an excellent source for tracking public policy issues at the state
level.

This is an information gateway providing access to a variety of web resources
of interest to students and researchers working in the field of social policy.
Users are granted access to important, relevant evaluation societies and organizations
around the world. The site also provides links to publications, journals and
discussion groups as well as access to other research gateways.
