Teaching and Research Interests: My teaching interests are in the areas of dynamic systems and controls, with specific emphasis on feedback control and mechatronics. My research interests include control for distributed manipulations systems, control for underactuated robots, and STEM education. Bio: I received the B.S. degree in 1998, the M.S. in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in 2005, all from Carnegie Mellon University. I have 7+ years experience in the hard disk drive industry (Seagate Technology ) where I worked on servo control problems. Prior to joining the faculty of CMU in fall 2016, I was an Associate Professor at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology .
