Election as Education Representative also attains status as a council member.
Specific responsibilities include: developing meetings, publications and other
services for industrial design educators; promoting membership in IDSA among
industrial design educators and students; promoting and developing IDSA student
chapters and activities; recommending policies concerning matters of education
within the Society; member of the planning committee for the national education
conference; and liaison with the National Association of Schools of Art and Design

IDSA Mid-East District
Education Representative
A position elected by practitioners and educators who represent Pennsylvania,
Ohio, and Michigan, which are the three states in our district. In addition
to the responsibilities outlined as a member of the education council, I am
the co-chair of the annual district conference. I am solely responsible for
coordinating with each of the 10 programs across the three states in our district
to conduct individual student merit award programs and to have their winners
represented at the annual district conference.

Elected by local design practitioners to develop activities aimed at building
the chapter, actively encouraging and mentoring young designers and students
in their professional career development, and to foster increased public understanding
of the services and values of the industrial design profession. The chapter

Design Charette
The Pittsburgh Childrens Museum
Invited and served on a multidiscipline team of professionals and educators assembled
to participate in an exhibit and charette program. This program served as inspiration
to the museums designers and developers towards the museums expansion.
