Oxford Art Online
Links to these comprehensive image sites as of 2005:-Art Image Links includes international museum and gallery websites selected by the editors of Grove Art Online
-Art Resources contains 90,000 images in art history, with a good 20th century representation
-The Bridgeman Art Library contains 100,000 art images from major international museums, galleries and auction houses.
-Choose the "image" tab to find images in over two-hundred dictionaries and encyclopedias across disciplines

- Indicate 'pictorial works' as a Subject search in Advanced Search in Cameo
Pictorial works are indicated as a subject heading in library catalogs for any books that contain images primarily.
- Indicate ill or il as words in Advanced Search in Ceamoe
Ill (and sometimes il or illus) is an abbreviation used in library catalogs to indicate an illustrated volume. The number, quality and type of images vary.
