For admissions to the Pitt Katz PhD program, please read my unofficial FAQs. I am a research scientist at the Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Starting Fall 2015, I will be an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business. My research interests are in the economics of information systems, especially in the context of healthcare. I received a PhD in Business Technolgies (formerly Information Systems) from CMU's Tepper School of Business in 2014 (doctoral advisor: Rahul Telang). Previously, I received a M.S. in System Design and Management from MIT (advisor: Erik Brynjolfsson ), a M.S. in Computer Science (advisor: Roy Campbell) from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a B.Eng. in Computer Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan. |

| Before returning to academia, I worked in the high-technology industry for approximately 10 years. Most recently, I was a Principal Product Manager at Oracle USA Incorporated. Earlier, I worked at Verizon in product strategy, software development management, and software development. | ||||
