Components:

• Entrance Funnel: This catches the golf ball and directs it towards the other mechanisms.
• Pin Lever: As the ball falls into the sled, it knocks over a level arm with a pin attached, popping the balloon.
• Sled: Acts as the container to hold the golf ball so a pulley can life the ball up.
• Balloon: Anchors the sled so the counterweight cannot lift the sled until the balloon is popped.
• Pulley: Raises the ball up the required height as per lab specifications.
• Top Catch: Catches the ball as it gets dumped out of the sled and directs it towards the catapult.
• PVC piping: Directs the golf ball from the pulley to the catapult.
• Catapult: A mechanism for launching the ball up the minimum height and into the exit funnel.
• Catapult Launch Mechanism: A clamp holds a string holding down the catapult arm. A tense spring will pull the arm, launching the ball.
• Knockoff Weight: As the ball falls into the catapult cup, it knocks off the weight which releases the gate for a weight.
• Deadweight: Metal pipe to release the clamp long enough to release the string holding down the catapult.
• Exit Funnel: Catches the ball launched from the catapult and directs it to the exit and into the next machine.

#1 Ball to Pin Lever The golf ball falls from the entrance funnel into the sled and in the process knocks down a lever with a pin attached. The pin lever swings down and pops the balloon which is anchoring the sled down.

#2 Pulley The pulley is released, and the counterweight pulls the sled up, lifting the ball as well.

#3 Ball to Knockoff Weight The ball rolls down the ramps and bumps off a weight balanced on the edge of the catapult. The weight falls, and tugs out a gate that is holding the metal rod deadweight.

#4 Deadweight to Clamp The deadweight is released, and falls down inside the pvc pipe, hitting a clamp. This releases the clamp for a split second, allowing the string holding down the catapult to be released.

#5 Spring to Catapult The catapult is released, allowing the stretched spring to condense, moving the catapult arm and launching the golf ball up in the air and into the exit funnel.
