- Animal Rescue League - walk dogs, socialize
with cats, and help with general maintenance.
- The Bradley Center - take disadvantaged children
on outings to the Carnegie Museum, Zoo and other fun
places.
- Buggy Board - record times and scores for
the Spring Carnival Sweepstakes races.
- C-Book - the
campus student directory.
- Carnival Concessions - hot dogs, funnel cakes,
you name it, we sell it at Carnegie Mellon's Spring
Carnival.
- East End Cooperative Ministry - provide dinner
for the residents of the shelter.
- Family House - play bingo with residents
who have recently had surgery, or have family in the
hospital.
- Food Bank - help sort and package food for
distribution to shelters.
- Football Concessions - sell hot dogs, pizza,
coke, etc. at Tartan home games and sometimes soccer
games.
- Freshman Packets - collate packets for incoming
first-years with information from all the organizations
on campus.
- Habitat for Humanity - help build houses
for disadvantaged families.
- Kent D. Schaffer Memorial
Scholarship - Each year we offer a scholarship
for a non-APhiO-affiliated undergraduate who exemplifies
our three cardinal principles of Leadership, Friendship
and Service.
- Magic Bus
- buses at Thanksgiving breaks to New York,
Philadelphia, Boston and Washington D.C. (We used
to run a shuttle to the airport, but PAT
has a $1.95 airport bus now.)
- Merit Badge University
- help local Boy Scouts earn their merit badges.
- Pinewood Derby - help local scouts build
their cars for competition in the Pinewood Derby.
- Pittburgh Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) Judging
- help judge at the science fair competition.
- Relay For Life - Organizing the community to raise money for the American Cancer Society
- Scouting College and
Interest Project (SCIP) Day - help Cadette and Senior
Girl Scouts earn their badges.
- Salvation Army - perform various tasks for
the facilties and food bank of a Salvation Army location
on the North Side of Pittsburgh.
- Ushering Greek Sing - help with ticket sales
and ushering patrons at the largest social fraternity
and sorority philanthropic event, Greek Sing.
