After a decade of attending cons both in Michigan and on the East coast, Nancy Janda probably qualifies as an "old timer." She's well known among the Baltimore-Washington fandom for her amber carving and glass etching, although her talents extend far beyond those two abilities. Her illustrations have appeared in several role-playing game books and professional publications. She has also created 3-D graphics for computer games.
Besides art, she is indulging in her love of writing through amature-press-associations and fan clubs. her strong interest in McCaffrey fandom has led her to accept the editorial position for Fort Weyr, a ten-year-old Pern-centered club.
Mundanely, she spends a significant part of her time being abused by her cats and roommates, and in pursuit of her life-long ambition: to be well paid for her art.
