Three Monoclonal Antibodies Recognize Three Different Epitopes on Lysozyme
The initial display shows all three complexes superposed on the lysozyme protein, colored blue, green and red. The protein chains are shown as Backbone with disulfide bridges. Each complex has the Fab portion of the monoclonal IgG. The heavy (H) and light (L) antibody chains can be selected separately under "Chain" in the Chime menu; the lysozyme models are chain Y.
- The "Highlight Separate Complexes" buttons zoom for a close-up of the Fab-lysozyme contact surfaces. The lysozyme residues are Spacefill; the Fab residues are Ball & Stick. Each model can also be selected individually using the Chime menu under "Model".
- The "Close Contacts" buttons add a dot surface on the Fab atoms that are <4.0 Å from the lysozyme residues.
-
- The "Labels" buttons identify each residue by Chain, one-letter-code, and number, e.g. "Y G117" is Glycine 117 of lysozyme.
