     The same physical thing
Or
     Some thing with the same original appearance

What did the artist make?
A pattern of pigment, or an object which ages
     If the later, then restoration falsifies
We want to see what the artist made

2. The same building = ?

     The original old building restored

Or
     The original building now aged

3. The same scored musical work = ?

     The original played on authentic instruments

Or
     The original played on practical modern day instruments
