Assignment for Tuesday, February 29th

· Read: Regression with Graphics, Hamilton, pp. 29-42.

· Read: "The Conn. Crackdown on Speeding," by Campbell and Ross, pp. 33-37.

· Do the "Causation vs. Association Module" in the web-based courseware on causal reasoning with statistical data. You don't need to complete the "Test Your Knowledge" section at the end of the module, but you should answer all the questions in the middle of the module. To do the module:

1) Go to the website - http://www.phil.cmu.edu/projects/csr/

2) enter as "Guest"

3) Go the "Concept Modules"

4) Choose the "Causation vs. Association" module.
