For your project, complete the following:

1. Identify the business rules. A business rule is defined in your R&C book on page 162.
2. Define each of your entities.
3. Draw an E-R diagram.

Your E-R diagram should indicate the following:

• Connectivity (1:1, 1:M or M:N)

Note - you do not need to convert M:N relationships, but you should show the composite entity as a

• Cardinality
• Participation
• Any weak entities (other than the composite entities)
• Any Supertypes/Subtypes
• Attributes: only include the following on your E-R diagram:
  • Primary Keys and Foreign Keys. Make sure the Primary Keys are underlined.
  • Any multivalued attributes
  • Any derived attributes

Use Word, Powerpoint or some other drawing tool to create your E-R diagram. Hand-drawn diagrams will not be accepted.
