Partners in Parks

This program enables corporations, community groups and civic organizations to work together with the City of Pittsburgh to maintain its' parks and recreational facilities. Partners in Parks offers long and short term projects and can tailor projects to fit a particular group's interests and abilities. The program helps to provide a balance between the community's need for recreational facilities and City's capacity to provide for those needs.

Service Opportunities:

  • Various park maintenance tasks: such as litter pick-up, trail clearing, flower bed maintenance, trimming hedges and removing grass and weeds, etc.
  • Newsletter writing and development
  • Office assistance
  • Special project coordination
  • Fundraising
