Anuhya Edupuganti

I am a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University in the Mechanical Engineering Department. I am co-advised by Prof. Taylor (Microsystems and Mechanobiology Lab) and Dr. Matthew Travers (Biorobotics Lab). I graduated from Purdue University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Current Projects

  1. Self-Assembly of Modular Robots Constructed using DNA: Modeling and Manufacturing NanoStructures with Graph Neural Networks and DNA Origami

Past Projects

During my undergraduate years, I was a research assistant at Dr. Bumsoo Han's Biotransport Phenomena Lab at Purdue University, where I took on the following projects 1. Magnetic Microfluidic-Chip Case - Designed a microfluidic chip case for temporary binding of layers of microfluidic chip with magnets during experiments, so its contents could be retrieved post experiment without destruction of the chip

  1. Hydrogel Hybrid Material
  2. Tested protocols for Fabrication on soft hydrogel – elastomer material
  3. Prototyped test setup using 3D printing to apply residual stress on cells cultured in the hybrid material

  4. Computational Modelling of Cell Migration

  5. Developed an adaptable model for collective cell migration using python/xml-based platform CompuCell3D, which will be used to test cell response to several types of external migration stimulus.
  6. Adapted the model to reproduce the experimental data of single cell migration in a chemical field to evaluate the models accuracy
  7. Predicted single cell’s response to different combination of chemical and stiffness cues

Honors Awards
