Indexes and Databases

Use indexes and databases to locate articles, technical reports, and patents. When you find a citation for an article, you need to check the Cameo library catalog to see if Carnegie Mellon owns that journal or conference proceedings. If Carnegie Mellon does not own the item, you can use Interlibrary Loan to have the materials sent to you.

• Applied Mechanics Reviews

• IEEEXplore
  1988- (updated monthly).
  Provides full-image access to the publications of both the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE); includes all journals, magazines, standards and conference proceedings published since 1988. Each image includes all charts, graphs, diagrams, photographs, and illustrative material.

  1906 - (updated monthly).

  ENGR&SCI REFERENCE 629.2 C969
  Index covers papers published from 1965-1993.
  Provides comprehensive coverage of all SAE technical publications, including technical papers, current and cancelled SAE Standards, books, proceedings, magazine articles, specifications, and research reports.
