The USS Mississippi (CGN-40)
was my roving home for four years (July of 1980 through July of 1984).
The USS Mississippi was a Virginia class nuclear powered guided-missile
cruiser. Sadly, the mighty Mississippi was decommissioned on 31 July,
1997.
