program notes:	"Idyll" was composed for the wedding of Adam and Leena Waite in Montclair, New Jersey in 2008. It was performed during the ceremony by Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Andrés Cárdenas and the composer, Nancy Galbraith. It was first performed in a public concert by violinist Vlatka Pelijhan and pianist Mia Elezović, who were visiting artists from Croatia at the 2025 Contemporary Music Festival at Christopher Newport University in Virginia.
