Rand Bellavia was born in 1969. His life's been a lot busier ever since. The first comic book he ever owned was an issue of the Avengers that had Mantis, the Swordsman, and giant broccoli creatures that bled green blood. Understandably, he's been hooked ever since. By the time he was in high school, he was taking graphic literature way too seriously. His master's thesis, Panel Discussion, is a 250 page excuse for all the time and money he's spent on comics. He has lectured on Art Spiegelman's Maaus and on the history of comics. But fen know him better as the singer/guitarist from the filk band Ookla the Mok.
