Bio

Research

My research interests include Reconfigurable Computing, Computer Architecture and Digital Design. I have also dabbled in RF and Mixed-Signal design. Apart from Electrical Engineering, Genetics and Molecular Biochemistry also interest me, which motivated me to pursue Minor in the Biosciences and Bioengineering during my undergrad.

As a part of my Master's Thesis, I worked on the project of accelerating Harmonic Balance for RF circuits, with Prof. Sachin Patkar which involves accelerating periodic steady-state simulation, with the end goal being an implementation on a host-accelerator system with the accelerator being an FPGA or GPU. I also worked on other projects which involve circuit partitioning, using graph algorithms and sub-modular functions, which are being increasingly used in machine learning.

I also worked with Prof. Maryam Baghini on an Oscillator design project for a MEMS-based Particulate Measurement System and did Teaching Assistantships under Prof Rajesh Zele for his courses CMOS Analog and RF IC Design.

Internship and Work Experience

After my third year at IIT Bombay, I did an internship at the University of Tokyo with Prof. Reiji Suda in his HPC Lab, where I worked with three major domains in numerical computation: GPU acceleration and coding using CUDA, multi-processor programming using openMP, and distributed computing using MPI. In my second year, I worked with the IIT Bombay Racing team in the Data Acquisition sub-division within the Electrical division. The team designs electric racecars to participate in the Formula Student competition and our subdivision and was involved in developing the first CAN network for the team, and implementing the wireless telemetry.

Miscellanious

On a lighter note, in my spare time I enjoy watching TV Series (Star Trek, F.R.I.E.N.D.S., The Big Bang Theory, and Doctor Who are few of my favorites), reading fiction (Agatha Christie's Poirot series, Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter, Bartimaeus Trilogy...) and most importantly Pokémon1: I own a proud collection of all the RPG games (at least one of each generation) y! Also, as I really enjoyed my visit to Japan and their culture, I learned Japanese during my last two years at IIT Bombay.
