Integrated Building Design Environment (IBDE)
(1989-1992)
a joint project of faculty in the then Departments of Architecture and Civil Engineering,
sponsored by a grant from NSF through the EDRC.
IBDE sets up a computational infrastructure for the exchange of design information among
independently developed knowledge-based, generative design systems,
each of which addresses a specific design task in the context of high-rise office buildings.
