Created in 1975, the FEC is designed to disclose campaign finance information;
to enforce the limits, prohibitions and other provisions of the election law;
and to administer the public funding of Presidential elections. Information
includes a citizens' guide to contributions and the law, financial information
about candidates, parties, and PACs; and financial reports filed by presidential
and house campaigns, parties, and PACs.
- DemocracyNet (The League of Women Voters)
DNet is designed for both candidates and voters. Candidates can enter their
positions directly on isssues of their choosing. Voters have a one-stop shop
for a multitude of information on candidates, ballot measures, campaign finance
information, political parties, and elected officials. By entering a zip code,
users can research issues, find the offices, ballot measures, when elections
are, what election events are occurring, and see who's running in a particular
area.

College Box Scores (National Archives and Records Administration)
Presented here are electoral college results for presidential and vice presidential
candidates, vote totals, and other information about elections from 1789 until
the present.
- Lijphart Elections Archive (University
of California, San Diego)
The archive is a research collection of district level election results for
approximately 350 national legislative elections in 26 countries. The catalog
of holdings indexes nations by geographic region.
- Opensecrets.org (Center for Responsive
Politics)
Open Secrets tracks the money in U.S. elections. Hunt Reference holds the
1990, 1992, and 1996 print editions of Open Secrets.

This index lists the questions asked on particular subjects. Entries include
the polling universe, sample size, method of data gathering, and how to contact
the polling organization. Results are available on microfiche.
