of Freeland, Pa. Images of Freeland area coal breakers |

This is a starter page. More to come. Edward E. Davis (later Rev.) and other miners in front of an unidentified local breaker From Valerie Bedard: My grandfather, Rev. Edward E. Davis, worked as a mining engineer for 38 years before he became a Methodist minister. He worked in many different mines and this one was not identified. Perhaps someone will recognize it. He is the 2nd person from the right. From 1924-1962, he worked as a mining engineer and surveyor at Raven Run, Continental, Girard, Midvalley, MaryD, Upper Lehigh, Hazle Brook, Westwood, Eckley, Jeddo Highland and Germantown. I’m sure this is one of them. |
