Upper Lehigh Justus Troell's 1889 obituary comes to us from Joe Moore. Kocher's interest and was now opening under his own name. The 1888 ad for the Frank H. Albert's furniture store shows it was already at the site of what later be his son's business and later Pitman's. In the 1889 mercantile directory Albert is listed as "Furn. & Undertaker"-- a not uncommon pairing at the time, of making furniture and making coffins. 1889 mercantile directory In business listings: Albert, F. Bachman must have moved to his new location next to the Central Hotel in 1893; the 1894 ad from the Freeland Progress comes from Carol Jones; the 1893 notice from Ed Merrick. J. P.
