We all remember favorite dishes and family recipes. Some of
us are fortunate enough to have received family recipes from
previous generations, while others do not have these gifts
from the past. Here is a wonderful collection from the
mid-1960s, typeset and produced by Tom Zubach and printed in
Hazleton.
This cookbook seems to have been created with favorite
recipes from women of St. Ann's and mothers of students of
the school, "members and friends of St. Ann School Guild."
In it you'll find old Freeland area favorites, ethnic
specialties, and snazzy concoctions of the 1960s. The cover
image at top left is of my mother's copy, and you can see
that it has been heavily used (it used to be white) and is
something of a "survivor," even without its plastic ring
binder.

name for easy searching (not in the order in which they
appear in the book). There is an index at the end of the 4th
PDF - somehow we are missing the first page of the index,
for which I apologize. If anyone out there reading
this has the cookbook and the first index page, I would love
to have a copy of that page to add to what's posted here.
I scanned our copy so that its contents would be preserved
and so they could be shared. I was happy to see that some of
our favorite family recipes are in here, and I know that
others will find gems from their own experience here, too.
