Women's Center Info The Collective The Women's Center is a collective, with weekly meetings during the school year (Thursdays at 4:30 pm - feel free to come by!). A Brief Background In the spring of 1989, after collecting hundreds of signatures in support of the formation of a women's center, three graduating seniors approached CMU administrators with a proposal. On January 26, 1990, the Women's Center opened with the support of Student Senate, the Office of Student Affairs, and other administrators.
