The
Whitacre Group
Laboratory consists of two labs with over 1200 ft2
of
dedicated lab space.
Equipment on hand includes:
- 2 Ar glove boxes maintained at less than 2 ppm
moisture
- 2 coin cell presses
- 44 channels of Arbin battery cycler (two BTS 2000
units)
- Bio-logic 16-channel VMP-3 multi-channel
potentiostat/electrochemical impedance spectrometer
with
- 8 potentiostat channels, and
- 8 complex impedance spectrometer/potentiostat
channels.
- Nova 2000 BET surface area and pore size
analysis system (dual sample configuration)
- Tenny environmental chamber good to -60 ˚C to
>200˚C
- Multiple vacuum ovens
- Multiple furnaces, box and tube
- Spex 8000D dual Ball mill with SiN shaker
crucibles
- Dedicated Inel Equinox 2000 curvilinear position
sensitive x-ray diffractometer with in-situ
electrochemical cell

- Full wet-chemistry lab with fume hoods
