Class Resources for Active Server Pages
There are two lectures scheduled for ASP in 88-272. Since both are currently scheduled to be delivered by Professor Muhlberger, I do not know if he intends to post them on the web. There will also be five lab assignments on ASP scheduled towards the end of the term. Students can download the relevant lab notes and assignments by clicking on the 272 labs link.

Web Guides, Primers, and Tutorials for Active Server Pages
Below is a sampling of web primers available to help students with ASP. In many cases the treatment is not as detailed as one might like, but these resources do provide a good opportunity to get one's feet wet. Some pages are better than others and I have tried to place the more useful ones towards the top of the list. (Note: even though I don't agree with everything that is said or the way it is presented on these pages, I am listing a multitude of links with the hope that each person will find something suitable for their purposes.)

Learn ASP: This site by Charles Carroll is probably the first web site students should visit as they seek to learn ASP or improve their expertise in this area. There is a wealth of information at this site!

The ASP Hole: This site has a nice set of links to other tutorial sites, code snippets, FAQs, utilities, and other resources for the budding ASP developer.

Introduction to ASP: A seven part introduction to ASP by CNET Builder.com.

Inside ASP: A four part tutorial demonstrating some ASP capabilities by Web Review.

Webmonkey's ASP Pages: Webmonkey has a brief three part introduction to ASP.

ASP Developers Network: Some tutorials and examples using ASP.

ASP Free: A relatively new ASP site with a few nice demos and other news and information.

Web Developers Virtual Library: Some nice introductory articles on ASP and links to other sites as well.

Devhead -- ASP Site: ASP tutorial and articles by ZDNet.

Advancing ASP: A three part series on advanced ASP topics by WebReference.

Microsfot Developers Network: ASP is a Microsoft technology, so there are plenty of topics related to ASP at MSDN.

VB Web Directory: Directory of sites and tutorials for VBScript.

These pages are relevant for the Fall 1999 semester.
Any questions or problems with these pages should be sent to Professor H.
