Welcome to Prof. H's IDS Pages. This site was designed to assist students in the Information and Decision Systems program at Carnegie Mellon University. In addition, these pages contain useful information and tutorials that can be helpful to individuals who are beginning to learn about information systems and web development. What is IDS? The Information and Decision Systems major prepares students for a career in the rapidly changing area of information and decision support systems. Students learn the organizational theory necessary to understand the organizational and human context of information systems; the technical skills needed to design, analyze, implement, and maintain information systems; and the analytical skills needed to analyze system usage, user interfaces, and reports. What You'll Find Here: At this site, students will be able to find information regarding class policies, course announcements, lecture and lab presentations, and links to other web sites which provide tutorials on topics covered in IDS.
