09-720 Physical Inorganic Chemistry

Units: 12.0 Department: Chemistry Related URLs: http://www.chem.cmu.edu/ This course develops principles of magnetochemistry and inorganic spectroscopy. Electronic absorption, magnetic circular dichroism, resonance raman, NMR, EPR, Mossbauer, magnetization and x-ray methods will be introduced with application toward the determination of electronic structures of transition metal complexes.
