09-603 Mathematical Analysis for Chemistry

Units: 6.0 Department: Chemistry Related URLs: http://www.chem.cmu.edu/ This course surveys those techniques of mathematical analysis that are most relevant to chemical applications. Topics include multidimensional calculus, differential equations, integral transforms, and linear algebra. This course is meant as a mathematical primer for courses in quantum mechanics, thermodynamics and kinetics. Examples are taken from each of these subject areas.
