This class introduces students to the art and craft of fiction writing. Students will respond to a number of writing and reading assignments. Students will learn how to use point of view, how to develop characters, how to create a sense of place, and finally, how to write something meaningful for a defined audience. Near the end of the term, students will be introduced to the workshop experience, where student work is read and critiqued.
