The basics of acting will be established throughout the first year following the guideposts described in Audition, by Michael Shurtleffms. Structured improvisations, monologues, scene work, songs, and arias will provide a platform for the development of stage presence and effective communication. Each semester will finish with a group project that provides an opportunity for the students to begin to work together as a cast.
