This course explores current issues in design research and practice that are not fully covered by other design courses. Students will learn about various topics of emerging in research or industry. Topics may include (but are not limited to): design theory and methods, business issues in product development, and computational design and manufacturing emerging trends. Students will be encouraged to research specific topics that look in depth at specific aspects of the current topics of interest. Offered upon sufficient demand. 1, 2 or 3 hrs. lec. Prerequisite: permission of the instructor.
