The first thing I went to was the Labor Day scrim. I remember getting so tired since I had basically never played a sport before but still having so much fun. Even though I’m sure I had no idea what I was doing, and even though we ended up playing in the rain by the end, I knew I wanted to stick with it.What is your favorite memory of Mr. Yuk (on-field)?

I really like playing D and laying out because I live for the hype. If you stick me in a pot of boiling water for give or take 6 minutes I'll become al dente because apparently I'm a spaghetti. What was your first experience with ultimate frisbee at CMU?
There were two that really stuck out to me. The first, of course, was being called Joel constantly and not realizing that it was referring to me. People really didn't let me go even a single week being my own person. Sheesh, this team am I right? The second was definitely playing pickup on the Cut. Literally every single person there was running hard and having a good time. Prior to coming to CMU, I really didn't know what good ultimate looked like so it was super impressive to see the difference. What was your favorite memory of Mr. Yuk (off-field)?
There is literally nothing that compares to singing Colder Weather in the basement of the Dojo. I don't care who you are or what you do, you cannot beat standing in the muck on the Dojo floor, grabbing a sweaty person with each arm, and screaming every lyric to the song. Each time it happens, it really reminds me of how great of a club we have and how happy I am to have met everyone.Major | Electrical and Computer Engineering |

I joined Mr. Yuk in fall 2018 because I had planned to join a club to help make friends my freshman year. I ended up playing all 4 years of undergrad, eventually serving on the core as treasurer and chancellor. After graduation, I continued to pursue club ultimate while sticking around to help coach Yuk. Currently, I work as a nuclear engineer, play semi-professional ultimate with the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds, aspire to help rebuild a nationals level men’s club program in Pittsburgh, and am honored to be a part of the Mr. Yuk coaching staff.Do you have a pre-game or tournament ritual?
