The ad at top left for Mrs. M. L. Lubrecht's millinery and notions store comes from Joan Buday. Mary Lubrecht was at the NW corner of Centre and Walnut at least to 1889, succeeded at that location by Lena Lloyd's millinery shop before Lloyd moved a half block away to 721 Centre Street.

At right, an 1892 ad for Bertha Grimes, milliner, and an 1894 ad from Ed Merrick for Daniel Gill's Clothing (including millinery). Bertha Grimes was not listed in any of these directories. Another milliner not listed was Ella Arner, mentioned in the 1890 newspaper.
